The Duchess wore a new outfit today. Although there are not many great photos of the outfit it has been identified as the Michael Kors Virgin Wool Plaid Blazer which retailed for £1,090 and the Michael Kors Guncheck Wool Trumpet Skirt which retailed for £900.
The outfit is from the AW15 collection.

The Duchess also wore her Lock & Co. Fairytale Hat, which we have seen on a number of occasions.

She also wore her Aquatalia Rhumba Boots.

Kate finished off the outfit with her Catherine Zoraida Fern Hoop Earrings.

I thought it was a lovely winter outfit for the Duchess and it was nice to see her in something new.

Duchess Dazzles in Green..

Today the Royal Family attended their annual Christmas service at St Mary Magdalene Church in Sandringham.

There was an estimated 30 royals staying at Sandringham this year including Prince Phillip and Princess Anne..

.. Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie..

.. Earl & Countess of Wessex and their two children, Louise and James..

.. Prince Charles and Duchess of Cornwall..

.. Prince Harry..

.. Duke and Duchess of Cambridge..

.. and The Queen.

Prince George and Princess Charlotte did not attend and it has been said that the Duke and Duchess have decided that the children won't attend until they are much older. However, the smiles on the couple's faces clearly show what a wonderful morning they must have with George, who is two-and-a-half, and Charlotte, who's first Christmas it is.

The Duchess greeted those who had been waiting to see them.

Prince William carries an umbrella for them both as it starts to rain as they leave the church.

The Duchess has attended the service at Sandringham several times since 2011. She attended in 2011 wearing a bespoke coat in plum. In 2012, the Duke and Duchess spent Christmas with the Middleton's in Berkshire, as the Duchess had only recently left hospital with severe morning sickness. In 2013 the Duchess attended Sandringham again wearing Alexander McQueen tartan. In 2014 she attended again in brown.

Today the Duchess opted for green again. There has been a clear trend of colours for the Duchess - reds, browns and greens for Christmas day.

The Duchess chose a new coat by Sportmax. It is the Long Belted Coat, however it has now sold out.

Underneath she wore the Great Plains Cezanne Dress in pine needle.

The Duchess also wore her Aquatalia Rhumba Boots and carried her Mulberry clutch.

She wore a new dark green hat.

The Duchess wore her hair up in a chignon under her hat.

She also wore her Kiki McDonough Classic Green Amethyst & Diamond Oval Drop Earrings, which were a Christmas present from Prince William in 2011.

The Duchess also wore her Acorn Brooch.

She first wore the brooch in 2012 at the Queen's Jubilee Luncheon. The Middleton's family coat of arms features acorns and is thought that the brooch was given to the Duchess as a present because of its symbolism.

It was a festive look for the Duchess and thought she looked lovely today.

Cambridge's Christmas Photo Released..

Today the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge released a new family photograph. The photo was taken back in October which gave them a beautiful autumnal backdrop.

It is the second family photograph that has been released. The first was at Princess Charlotte's chastening earlier this year.

The photo was used in the Cambridge's Christmas cards to friends and families.

Prince Charles and the Duchess of Cornwall have also released their Christmas card which features a relaxed photo of the couple taken in the summer by a friend whilst they were on holiday in Scotland.

Prince George wore a new jumper by Fina Ejerique and Mayoral Chino Shorts with his Amaia Kids Socks and Startrite Jo First Walking Shoes.

One of Prince George's toys could also be seen in the photograph. It has been identified as Orange Tree Toys Steam Train Pull Along which is available for £15.

Princess Charlotte was wearing the same outfit that she wore in the photographs released in November..

It is a M&H Tiendas dress with The Little White Company Cashmere Cardigan and Amaia Kids Tights.

The Duke and Duchess both chose casual outfits of shirts, jumpers and jeans.

Also in news today Kensington Palace has announced;

"Prince George will begin to attend the Westacre Montessori School Nursery in Norfolk before the end of January.

The Westacre Montessori School Nursery have said: "We are looking forward to welcoming George to our nursery where he will get the same special experience as all of our children.""

Westacre Montessori School Nursery is just a short drive from Anmer Hall and so we expect the family will spend lots more time there in the future. When the family are in London Prince George will not attend a nursery.

It was a lovely treat for a Christmas photograph to be released and the news of Prince George's plans.

The guests arrived around 12:30pm. The lunch normally lasts around 2 hours, however today the Duchess didn't leave till 4:00pm - this time travelling in the front of the car.

The reason for Kate staying longer comes in the form of some unexpected but exciting news.

Today Prince Phillip relinquished his role as Air-Commodore-in-Chief of the Air Cadets. He has been associated with the RAF for 63 years. He has handed over his patronage of the RAF Air Cadets to the Duchess of Cambridge. The Duchess become Honorary Air Commandant.

In 2010 Prince Phillip announced that he planned to gradually pass on a number of his patronages to younger members of the royal family. It is the Duchess's first patronage with an official link to the military. In honour of her new patronage the Duchess was presented with a book.

It is "Horizons: The History of the Air Cadets".

Today the Duchess once again chose to wear red. The Duchess has always worn red, since 2011, for the Queen's Christmas lunch. Although in 2012 it was more a flash of red under a black coat!

Today the Duchess wore her Luisa Spangoli red suit that we have seen twice before. First in 2011 during a visit to St Andrews and again in 2014 during the tour of Australia.

The Duchess also wore her Mappin & Webb Empress Earrings.

It was a lovely outfit for the Duchess and a nice surprise to hear of a new patronage.
