The Little Princess's First Few Days..

Yesterday the little Princess had a day of meeting her family. Kate's mother, Carole Middleton, and sister, Pippa, arrived to meet the new addition.

Later on her father, Michael, also arrived to meet his new granddaughter.

Prince Charles looked thrilled to be there and had said previously that he had really hoped the baby would be a little girl.

The Duchess of Cornwall also looked very pleased to be meeting the Princess.

Meanwhile, The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh stayed at Sandringham in Norfolk and were seen attending the Sunday Service at the nearby church.

It is thought that the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge had settled on a name but wanted to tell The Queen in person before announcing it. It is thought that they will travel down today so they can meet their newest great-grandchild. So, we are hoping for a name announcement at some point today!

***

The next time we will get to see the Princess is likely to be for her first official family portrait. With Prince George this was taken by Michael Middleton in the Middleton's Bucklebury back garden, two weeks after the birth.

However, it is though that this time it will be taken at Anmer Hall and could be released sooner. This is because all the key dates are being moved forward so that the Christening can take place before The Queen goes to Balmoral for the Summer.

The Queen must be in attendance at the Christening and as she goes to Balmoral at the end of July/beginning of August, we are likely to see a Christening sooner rather than later.

This is because the christening gown that all royal babies wear, only fits a baby up to around 3-4months grown. Prince George's christening was the 23rd October - 3 months after he was born.

If they were to do that again it would be the 2nd August, by which time The Queen is likely to have left for Balmoral, so it will need to be earlier. But, with Prince George's 2nd birthday being the 22nd July, it is thought it could be even earlier so they don't over shine his birthday celebration!

We will have to wait and see but it will be very exciting to see the little Princess sooner than we thought!

Duke, Duchess & Princess Leave The Lindo Wing..

Tonight, just after 6pm, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge emerged from the Lindo Wing with their new daughter.

Earlier in the day, Prince George visited his new sister, before returning back to Kensington Palace for bath time.

Prince George looked adorable in the Rachel Riley Cord Short & Shirt Set.  It is thought that his cardigan is the same as the red one George wore in Australia & New Zealand.

He also wore his Amaia Blue France Socks and Start Rite Jo Navy Blue Leather First Walking Shoes.
The couple smiled broadly as they presented the new addition to the media and the world.

The Princess was sleeping soundly, despite all the commotion outside. Although there has been mention of a name yet, I think it is possible we will have an announcement tomorrow.

She was all bundled up a lemon knitted bonnet - which matched Kate's dress - and the Soft Wool Baby Shawl by GH Hurt. Prince George also wore a shawl by this company but a slightly cooler one for July.

The couple stopped at the bottom of the steps and posed for photographs. This time round they did not answer any questions.

The couple then went back inside to get the little Princess ready for her journey home.

They used Prince George's car seat - the Britax Baby-Safe Infant Carrier.

The Duchess of Cambridge is wearing a bespoke Jenny Packham dress - she also chose to wear Jenny Packham when she left the Lindo Wing after Prince George. Jenny Packham had a touching message on her website..

Many, including me, had thought the Duchess would wear pink because she wore blue when she emerged after Prince George, however she chose a neutral colour - no doubt because the gender was unknown!

The Duchess wore her Jimmy Choo Gilbert Pumps which are available for £375.

The Duchess wore her favourite Annoushka Pearl Drop Earrings.

If you want to add a touch of colour to your wardrobe as Summer arrives them why not try the LK Bennett Hannah Printed Shift Dress. It features lovely yellow flowers, just like the Duchess's Jenny Packham dress. A nude pair of shoes is a Summer staple and I love the Head Over Heels Audrine Point Toe Court Shoes at the moment, which are available for £39. Earrings last you a lifetime, so I always think it is nice to pay a bit for them, especially ones that don't go out of style, such as pearl earrings. The Tiffany & Co. Ziegfeld Collection Pearl Studs are beautiful and available for just £185. A beautiful Spring/Summer outfit for Kate and I hope you enjoy my version!
Congratulations Duke, Duchess and of course Prince George!

LIVE BLOG.... The Duchess of Cambridge has Given Birth to Baby Girl!!

It is the moment we have been waiting for... the Duchess of Cambridge has gone into labour. As I said previously this is going to be a LIVE BLOG today - my very first. This means that I will keep updating all day with any new information that comes out. I will try to do this chronologically! So here we go....

6:40am

7:25am
There is a very good and very in-detail article at the Daily Mail, written by our favourite Royal reporter - Rebecca English. It has a very good part about the new succession line. Rebecca has also reported that although this baby will be the spare to the heir, it will still hold the title HRH Prince of Princess of Cambridge. This is a title they will be granted by their great-grandmother - The Queen.

7:38am
The Prime Minister, David Cameron, has given his best wishes via Twitter for the couple...

7:50am
The Telegraph is also running a Live Blog on their website which you can check out here

8:00am
Kensington Palace press offices have confirmed:

"The Duchess's labour is progressing normally."

This is very good news, however, Kate was admitted at around 5:30am with Prince George and he wasn't born till almost 4:30pm later that day. It was officially announced a few hours later so that the couple could spend some time alone with the newborn. It is thought that the same will happen today, so we don't expect any official announcement until much later today!

11:10am
How wrong I have been, Kensington Palace have just announced that the Duchess of Cambridge has been safely delivered of a baby girl at 8:34am. I very speedy labour this time!

The baby weighs 8lb3oz and the Duke of Cambridge was present at the birth.

The Queen, The Duke of Edinburgh, The Prince of Wales & The Duchess of Cornwall, Prince Harry and members of both families have been told of the exciting news.

It is very exciting news and how lovely that it is a little baby girl. With the birth being so much earlier than we had originally anticipated, it is possible that the Duke and Duchess may leave the Lindo Wing later today, if there have been no complications!

4:50pm
Whilst we await the announcement that the family will leave the Lindo Wing today our minds have naturally now turned to fashion - what will she wear?

Last time it was late July and so much warmer, I imagine it will be much warmer attire today. Last time Kate wore a bespoke Jenny Packham dress in an appropriate pale blue, Pied a Terre wedges and Kiki McDonough citrine earrings.

What do you think she will wear today?

5:30pm
Kensington Palace have announced that the Duchess of Cambridge will be leaving hospital this evening and that Prince George has now returned to Kensington Palace.
via Kensington Palace Twitter Feed

It is very exciting news and I am very much looking forward to seeing them and the new addition to the Cambridge family. It is thought they will be leaving in about an hour.

6:00pm
It is thought that an official departure is imminent and could happen within the next 5-10 minutes.

6:10pm
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge with their new Princess have left the Lindo Wing.

The Duke Duchess did not stay out for very long, unlike last time and did not answer any questions. I was disappointed and a little surprised that they didn't choose to say anything, as people had been waiting so long to see them!

The little Princess was fast asleep.

The Duchess has opted not to wear pink, which many of us thought she would. Instead she chose a two-tone dress in pale yellow and white. It is thought to be another bespoke piece by Jenny Packham - that is who she chose the last time.

What a wonderful and exciting day it has been. I hope my Live Blog has kept you well informed throughout the day! I will be back later with a new post about what The Duchess has worn!

Surprise Kate Sighting...

We had not expected to see Kate before the baby is born, but we had a surprise sighting earlier today.
photo via The Daily Mail

Kate is thought to be around 4-6 days late already, but this didn't stop Kate from taking Prince George to Buckingham Palace for a morning dip in the swimming pool.
photo via The Daily Mail

Kate has previously revealed that Prince George loves to swim and they were photographed leaving after a morning swim on Prince George's birthday last year.

They were accompanied by five bodyguards and George's nanny, Maria Borrallo.

It is unclear what Kate is wearing, however we imagine something very comfy given that she is now 9-months pregnant.

It was also revealed today that the Duke and Duchess had their staff order breakfast pastries and coffees for the fans who have been waiting outside the Lindo Wing.

Rumours were fuelled when the packages arrived with pink ribbon round them, however a royal insider has said that it was just a coincidence and that the cafe just happens to use pink ribbon. They re-stated the fact that the couple do NOT know the gender of their unborn child.

Now, I know I said this last time, but, I really don't think we will see Kate again before the baby is born! But, I was wrong last time, so I may be wrong again!

Kate & George Sighting and Prince William's Paternity Leave...

We will start with an update that includes both Kate and William who were seen going for dinner at the Crown Inn in Norfolk on April 3rd. It was reportedly organised by Prince William to celebrate his and Kate's official move to Anmer Hall now all the renovations are complete. According to US Magazine"The group kept a quiet evening by dining in the pub's private dining room."

Last weekend Kate to took George to spend some time with her parents on April 17th. On Sunday 19th, Kate and George were spotted at Bucklebury Farm Park.
via NY Daily News

A local told US Magazine: "She had a protection officer with her and another woman, who didn’t look like Carole. George was in a cute jacket and was having the time of his life, if those giggles were anything to go by."

Kate took George to Bucklebury Farm Park several times last Summer too and took him to Snettisham Park last month, where people reported he looked to be having lots of fun. He has clearly taken after his parents and enjoys the outdoors and countryside. OK magazine has now published all the photographs from their visit to Snettisham Park on their website which can viewed here

For Sunday's visit Kate was wearing her Barbour jacket and what is believed to be her Topshop Maternity Leigh Jeans which are available for £25.

Kate also wore her Mint Velvet Bibi Plimsoll which are available for £89.

Prince George looked adorable in a tweed jacket which is thought to be a bespoke piece. He also wore Petit Bateau Baby Boy Dungarees in Blocked Jersey which are available for £46.

He also wore his Start-Rite Flexy-Soft Air Shoes which Kate reportedly purchased for him last month. They are still available for £40.

It was lovely to see that Kate and George are getting to spend so much time together before the new arrival!

***

In other news, Prince William will take a much longer paternity leave this time. Kate is also expected to take longer maternity leave too.

However, instead of just the 2-weeks statutory paternity leave, Prince William will take 6-weeks paternity leave. He will continue working as a pilot to the end of April but will then not return to work until June 1st.

It will give him and Kate plenty of time to spend lots of time with their new family and help ensure that there is enough attention for the new baby and Prince George too!

You can read more about it at the Daily Mail.

It is unlikely that we will see another Kate sighting before the new baby, so until then!
