Duchess of Cambridge in Navy for Service at St Paul's Cathedral...

The Royal Family attended a service to mark the end of combat in Afghanistan today. It was a very special service held at St Paul's Cathedral and, having watched it live, I thought it was very touching and a lovely way to honour the end of combat.

They joined in with the hymns and songs throughout the service.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge spoke to the Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall following the service, outside St Paul's Cathedral.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge also spoke to the Countess of Wessex, who looked lovely in Oscar de la Renta - see the HRHCountessofWessex blog, and Prince Edward and Prince Andrew.

Kate and William both seemed moved by the touching service.

The Queen wore blue for the service and looked lovely. She wore the blue which matched the sashes of the male members of the royal family (see William's above) which I thought was a lovely touch.

As they left St Paul's Cathedral, Kate was careful to hold her hat to avoid it blowing away in the sudden March winds that arrived. Prince William, ever the gentleman, but his hand on Kate's back to support her as they walked down the steps.

The Duchess of Cambridge was wearing Beulah London today. She chose the Chirara Wool Trapeze Coat which retails for £650. It is a lovely piece and one I had hoped to see Kate in at some point.

The Chiara Coat also comes in White, Black and Rose Smoke.

It is thought that the Duchess was wearing the Seraphina Fit and Flare Dress in Navy underneath.

The Duchess debuted a new hat, which is still to be identified. It is thought to be a bespoke piece.

The Duchess wore her Alexander McQueen navy suede pumps and carried her Russell & Bromley Muse Clutch in navy. She also wore/carried Cornelia James gloves in navy.

The Duchess wore a new necklace and earring set in diamond and sapphire, which have been identified by Anna at My Small Obsessions as being by G.Collins & Sons.

The pendant is the Tanzanite and Diamond Pendant which is available for £8,400.

The earrings and not available to buy on the website but they are very similar, minus the stones at the top, to the ones G.Collins & Sons posted on their Instagram page 9 months ago.

I thought the Duchess looked lovely and very appropriate for the event. What did you think?
