The Duchess of Cambridge had a very busy day day starting with the official opening on the Magic Gardens at Hampton Court Palace.

The Magic Garden was designed by RHS Chelsea award-winning architect Robert Myers. Kate chatted to him during her visit.

The Duchess toured the Magic Garden and spoke to parents..

.. and children who were enjoying the new play area.

She told a group of children that George would love the dragon but that he would have been a bit scared of it.

Kate also told the children that Prince George and Princess Charlotte have a new pet - a hamster called Marvin.
