Kate Attends Family School Christmas Party at Anna Freud Centre..

Today, the Duchess visited the Anna Freud Centre. She was the guest of honour at the Family School Christmas Party.

Kate visited the Anna Freud Centre recently, back in September, where she learnt more about the work they do there.

Today's visit gave her chance to see what the centre has been up to in the last few months.

It is thought to be the Duchess's last official engagement of the year and what a fun one it was to end with!

This autumn, both Kate and William, have focussed on children's mental health and today's visit rounded off that theme.

Kensington Palace said:

"Her Royal Highness is keen to draw attention to the ways in which this charity is working to lead a step change in children's and young people's mental health car."

During today's visit the Duchess watched performance and also joined in a drum lesson.

She also met families and joined in with a number of festive activities, including some Christmas collages.

The Duchess looked festive in a red dress we have seen on a couple of occasions.

It is one of my favourite dresses that Kate owns. I especially love the back of the dress.

She first wore the bespoke Alexander McQueen dress at the Thames Diamond Jubilee Pageant back in 2012 and then again in 2014 for a Dramatic Arts Reception at Buckingham Palace.

The Duchess also wore her Stuart Weitzman Power Pumps.

She carried her Mulberry Bayswater Clutch.

The Duchess also wore her Kiki McDonough Lauren Yellow Gold Pave Diamond Leaf Earrings which are still available for £2,200.

It was a lovely look for the Duchess today - very festive! I imagine we will see a similar outfit sometime this week for The Queen's pre-Christmas luncheon at Buckingham Palace. The Duchess often chooses red for that occasion too, however this year could see a surprise twist!

If you want to look festive in a long-sleeved red dress this Christmas then why not try the Ted Baker Sanvie Stitch Detail Skater Dress. It is a lovely option for winter as it has 3/4 sleeves and is made of a thick knitted fabric. It is ideal for dressing up or down depending on the occasion!

Duchess Spotted Christmas Shopping..

Today, the Duchess was spotted shopping in Chelsea.

She visited department store Peter Jones, which is a branch of John Lewis. Kate has been spotted shopping at Peter Jones many times in the last few years.

Although it is unclear what she bought entirely, although we could see a checked tablecloth under her arm, it quite possibly included some Christmas purchases for Prince George and Princess Charlotte.

Last Thursday, Pippa and Carole Middleton were photographed shopping at Peter Jones, in Chelsea, too.

They accumulated lots of bags. No doubt, they were enjoying have two young children in the family to dote on this Christmas!

The Duchess appeared to be wearing a turtle neck dress, quite possibly her go to Oasis dress and black tights. She also wore her new Reiss Rubik Houndstooth Wrap Coat, again without the belt.

She also appeared to wear her Russell and Bromley Charge It Boots.

She carried her Tod D Bag, which the Duchess often uses a go-to everyday bag.

She kept her look simple with her hair up off her face and no earrings.

There are more photos of Kate shopping today over at The Daily Mail.

It was an unexpected sighting of Kate, however not unusual at this time of year - we quite often get a sighting of Kate Christmas shopping. It was a nice surprise!

The Duchess was given a tour of the centre where she was able to see the work that goes on there. The centre provides training, education and development for those working in addiction.

The Duchess was also updated on the M-Pact programme which is designed to tackle addiction by involving the whole family.

The Duchess launched the M-Pact programme back in 2013 and in 2014, she visited a school in Islington to see the M-Pact Plus programme.

The Duchess received a bouquet from Anna Elton, Jack Elton, Eddie Elton and Dylan Elton with their mother Pauline Bisset as she left the centre.

Meanwhile, today, the Duke of Cambridge presented medals to military medics who helped fight against Ebola at Keogh Barracks.

The Duchess repeated her bespoke Emilia Wickstead Alice Coat-Dress.

The coat-dress was first worn in 2014 during the couple's royal tour of New Zealand.

However, the Duchess has worn another bespoke version in pale pink twice before as well. In 2012, she wore the bespoke garment for The Queen's Sovereign's Luncheon and The Queen's Garden Party - both in May.

The Duchess wore a new coat over the top. The Reiss Rubik Houndstooth Wrap Coat. It is still available in all sizes for £325. The Duchess chose to wear the coat with the collar done up and without the belt.

Kate teamed the dress with her Stuart Weitzman Power Pumps and Mulberry Bayswater Clutch.

She accessorised with her Mappin & Webb Empress White Gold & Diamond Pendant.

She also wore her sapphire and diamond earrings.

I do like it when the Duchess repeats her outfits, because she has worn some beautiful garments over the years, that deserve second outings. But, I like it even more when she updates them with a new item - it's the best of both worlds then!

Look smart in a teal suit like the Duchess. Although LK Bennett's is all sold out now, it sold out almost immediately when she first wore it!, there is a lovely alternative. The Ted Baker Stacia Chintz Curved Suit Jacket and matching Ted Baker Staciad Chintz Curved Suit Dress. It is a lovely smart look and the dark green is a very seasonal colour.
