Royal Tour of India & Bhutan - Day 6

This morning the Duke and Duchess took part in a 6-hour round trek to Paro Taktsang, the Tiger's Nest monastery.

Tiger's Nest is a Himalayan Buddhist sacred temple.

There are some beautiful photos that have come out from today's engagement.

The couple take in their beautiful surroundings.

The couple are photographed with the monastery in the background.

The couple saw a Buddhist prayer wheel.

The couple were guided round the hike by their guide Phunto Tashi.

Kate said that: "It's a great way to burn off the curry".

Some of the couple's staff, Amanda Cook Tucker, Sophie Agnew and Natasha Archer, also joined the couple on the trek.

After finishing their hike the couple bought some souvenirs.

They also spoke to journalists and posed for photos.

Kensington Palace said: "The Duke and Duchess have just returned to Thimphu after an amazing day at the Tiger's Nest. TRH hiked to the top of the mountain, and were taken by monks through the temples at the monastery. It was important for TRH to learn more about Bhutan's history & religion, whilst showcasing its natural scenery."

Today the Duchess mixed old and new pieces.

She wore a new top which was the Jaeger Linen Classic Blouse which retails for £89.

She also repeated her Really Wild Clothing Shooting Waistcoat that we've seen on several occasions previously.

She also wore her Penelope Chilvers Long Tassel Boots that she has had for many years.

She also accessorised with her Flora Garments Indian Embroidered Stole.

She wore her Ray Ban Wayfarers.

She finished off the outfit with her Kiki McDonough Citrine Classic Pear Drop Earrings.

This evening the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge attended a reception at the Taj Tashi Hotel.

The reception was for British Nationals in Bhutan and Bhutanese people with strong links to the United Kingdom.

The Duke and Duchess were guest of honours.

The Duchess was presented with a silk scarf by Ugyen Michael Wangchukat.

They met with guests.

The theme of the evening was to celebrate the links between the two countries and Kate's dress embodied this theme entirely. She wore a dress by Beulah London, a British brand, that featured a poppy print, the national flower of Bhutan.

The national flower of Bhutan is the Himalayan blue poppy.

Kate quite often chooses to include the countries national flower in her garments. In Singapore she wore a Jenny Packham dress with an orchid print on. In Malaysia she wore an Alexander McQueen with hibiscus flowers embellished on.

The Beulah London Juliet Gown retails for £745.

She also wore her Cassandra Goad Temple of Heaven Earrings which retail for £1,495.

It was a busy day for the couple despite only including two outfits but which did you prefer?
